Faramarz Payvar & Ensemble present 'A Persian Heritage', a classic album featuring the rich classical music of Iran. It's a vinyl LP in stereo format, released in the US in 1974 under the Nonesuch label (H - 72060) as part of the Explorer Series. The music genres include classical, folk, world, and country, with a distinct Persian classical style. The album tracks include various Dastgāhs like Dastgāh Shur (10:21), Dastgāh Homayoun (7:38), etc. It was phonographically copyrighted and copyrighted by Nonesuch Records, manufactured by Elektra/Asylum/Nonesuch Records under Warner Communications Inc. Mastered at Sterling Sound Inc., the album has credits for coordinator Teresa Sterne, cover design by Paula Bisacca, and more. The record has turquoise center labels with rim text listing the New York address and was recorded in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Matrix numbers are H - 72060 - A for side A and H - 72060 - B for side B.
