Product Details

The Happy Mondays present their classic single 'Kinky Groovy Afro'. Released in 1990 by Elektra in the US, this 12-inch vinyl record is a must - have for fans of alternative and indie rock. The record plays at 33 ⅓ RPM. The A - side features 'Kinky Afro (Kinky Groovy Afro Mix)' produced by Paul Oakenfold & Steve Osborne, with a running time of 5:07. The B - side is 'Kinky Afro (Kinky Groovy Afro - Live)', recorded and mixed by Simon Machan, lasting 6:36. The phonographic copyright is held by Elektra Entertainment, and the general copyright belongs to Factory Communications Ltd. It was recorded at the Sound Factory in New York and pressed by Specialty Records Corporation. The artwork is by Central Station Design, and the songs were written and produced by the Happy Mondays themselves. Note that the B - side was recorded on July 18, 1990, at the Sound Factory in NYC, and the spine and center labels list the release title as 'Kinky Afro'. The record has various barcodes and matrix/runout etchings for identification.

To play this 12 - inch vinyl record, first make sure your turntable is set to 33 ⅓ RPM. Gently place the record on the turntable platter and use the tonearm to carefully lower the needle onto the starting groove of the side you want to play. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can cause scratches and affect the sound quality. After each use, store the record in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping. If the record gets dirty, you can use a vinyl record cleaning solution and a soft, lint - free cloth to gently clean the surface in a circular motion.
