Product Details

Explore the world of Japanese folk and classical music with this 1967 vinyl LP from Lyrichord USA. The album features masterpieces for the shakuhachi by the Masters of Meian-Ryu, Kimpu-Ryu, Tozan-Ryu, and Kikusi-Ryu. The LP is in stereo and has a label number of LLST 7176. It was recorded at Nanzenji and Meianji. The tracklist includes pieces like 'Koku' composed by Kyochiku, 'Sekiheki No Fu' by Seizan Shibata, 'Matsukaze' by an unknown Tsugaru family member, 'Ajikan' by Nyozan Miyagawa, and 'Oshusanya' based on Oshu folk music. The album was also released in mono as LL 176. Track A1 was played at Meianji, the original headquarters of the Fuke sect, and Track B1 has a spelling difference between the jacket and the label.

To enjoy this vinyl LP, you'll need a record player. Just place the LP gently on the turntable, set the tonearm at the start of the record, and let the music play. Make sure your record player is in good working condition for the best sound quality. When handling the LP, hold it by the edges to avoid getting fingerprints on the playing surface, as this can affect the sound. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, and keep it in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. If the LP gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove the dust. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on the LP, as this can damage it.
