Severance's 'Abysmal Ascent' is a classic death - metal release from 1992 in Spain. It comes in a mint - condition 7" vinyl format with a 45 RPM speed, under the label Drowned Productions (DS - 007). The record features two great tracks: '...And Then Silence' on side A and 'The Beholder' on side B. The talented lineup includes Oliver Gutiérrez on bass, Jaime Pérez on drums, Ariel Menchaca and Frank Sariñana on guitar, and Lee Sariñana on vocals. It was recorded at Sunrise Studios before summer '92. With matrix runouts DS - 007 - A (side A) and DS - 007 - B (side B), and rights under S.G.A.E., this is a must - have for death - metal enthusiasts.
