This is a fantastic 1978 vinyl LP compilation titled 'No New York' by various artists. It's released by Antilles (AN - 7067) in the US. The record combines the genres of electronic and rock, with a distinct no - wave style. The album features tracks from well - known bands like The Contortions, Teenage Jesus And The Jerks, Mars, and DNA. Many of the songs are written by notable figures such as James Chance, Lydia Lunch, China Burg, Mark Cunningham, and Arto Lindsay. The cover design and photography are by Brian Eno and Steve Keister. The record was recorded at Big Apple Studio in N.Y.C. Spring 1978, mastered at Masterdisk, and pressed by Keel Mfg. Corp. Lyrics are printed on the inner surface of the inner sleeve. Rights Society is BMI, and there are multiple matrix/runout variants.
