This is a classic 1974 compilation LP vinyl record from Island Records in the USA. It features a variety of reggae and roots reggae artists, presenting the best of the genre. The album 'This Is Reggae Music - Vol. 1' showcases a great collection of tracks. Label: Island Records (ILPS 9251). Format: Vinyl LP compilation. Released in Oct 1974. The tracklist includes well - known songs like 'Zap Pow - This Is Reggae Music', 'The Wailers - I Shot The Sheriff', and more. Each track has its own producer, such as Chris Blackwell, Harry Johnson*, and others. The record was cut at Kendun Recorders, manufactured and distributed by Island Records Inc. There are multiple publishing companies involved. Credits go to Danny Holloway for compilation and coordination, Hi Tone Graphics for the cover, and Chris Blackwell for direction. The runouts are etched except for KENDUN which is stamped. Rights societies vary for different tracks: ASCAP for some and BMI for others.

Using this vinyl record is easy. First, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Place the record gently on the turntable, center it properly, and then drop the needle onto the starting groove of the track you want to play. When handling the record, always hold it by the edges to avoid leaving fingerprints on the playing surface. Keep the record away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture as these can damage the vinyl. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve to protect it from dust. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust particles. Don't use any harsh chemicals on the record. With proper care, this classic reggae vinyl will last you a long time and keep providing you with great music.
