Product Details

Explore the captivating album 'Voice Of The Xtabay' by Yma Sumac. Released in October 1950 in the US, this 10-inch mono LP on Capitol Records is a blend of folk, world, Latin, and exotica music. It features songs written mainly by Moises Vivanco, with some contributions from Leslie Baxter and John Rose. The Scranton-pressed vinyl offers a unique listening experience. All Capitol picture front jackets from March 1950 to August 1951 have 'Hollywood' text beneath the logo, and the October 1950 release has a color photo on the back. The production date is visible opposite the matrix. This LP comes with various pressing plant identifiers and matrix runouts.

To use this LP record, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Place the record gently on the turntable, aligning the center hole with the spindle. Lower the tonearm carefully onto the record's lead-in groove. Enjoy the beautiful music. When handling the record, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches on the playing surface. After use, store the record in its sleeve and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the record gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Don't expose the record to extreme temperatures or humidity as it can damage the vinyl and affect the sound quality.
